Described by Buffalo Bill as the most scenic 50 miles in America, the North Fork of the Shoshone River flows East out of Yellowstone and ends 9 miles west of Cody where it flows into the Buffalo Bill Reservoir.
The drainage offers a variety of vistas from sweeping, wide open spaces, surrounded by mountains, to a narrow canyon with steep rock walls. This drainage is home to a large variety of wildlife including deer, elk, moose, big horn sheep, mountain goats, wolves, and the ever popular black and grizzly bear. Bald and Golden eagles are frequently spotted there in the winter. The river also offers some of the best trout fishing in North America.

This is a spectacular valley with large sweeping vistas surrounded by rugged mountains. The very upper most part of the valley is sure to remind you of the Alps. The upper valley, in winter, is home to the largest concentration of frozen water falls in the continental U.S., and is therefore a popular destination for ice climbers.
This valley hosts a large variety of wildlife including antelope, deer, elk, moose, big horn sheep, mountain goats, wolves, and the ever popular black and grizzly bears. During the winter months the river is frequented by many Bald and Golden eagles as it offers great fishing for these majestic birds.
